Spectacular Kynren, Beamish and Cragside House

This action-packed open-air live show, is a journey of myth, legend and factual events staged by a crew of 1000 in the shadow of Auckland Castle, played out on a vast stage with a lake at its centre, magnificent sets, special effects and pyrotechnics. Spend a day at  Beamish Open Air Museum which tells the story of the people of the North East through the ages from the1820s. Enter the world of Lord Armstrong, the Victorian inventor, innovator and landscape genius.  Cragside House was his revolutionary home and the first in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity. 

Redworth Hall – 4 star

Dating back to the 17^th century, this 4 star Jacobean-style manor house near Durham has retained many of its original features, whilst offering up to date facilities including a health club with swimming pool.  All the bedrooms have TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.  There are restaurants and lounge areas.  There is a lift.
