Hop on board from your local joining point for this Short and Superbreak to Durham!
Join us as we venture up north to Durham and you will not be disappointed! Durham sits on the banks of the River Wear. It is home to two UNESCO World Heritage sites: the beautiful Romanesque Cathedral and the Norman Durham Castle. The medieval marketplace is one not to miss.
Beamish Open Air Museum is a step back in time to discover what life was like in North East England in the 1820s, 1910s and 1940s. Beamish is a living, working museum set in 300 acres of the beautiful Durham countryside. Costumed folk bring to the life the town, the pit village, the farm and Pockerley Old Hall. New to Beamish is the bus depot. Ride the trams or a vintage bus to all the different period villages – save your legs!
