Wester Ross's breathtaking environment provides a multitude of stunning sceneries. This journey takes you a bit farther off the beaten route, with plenty of rocky shoreline, amazing wildlife, and breathtaking unspoiled vistas. A picturesque train excursion to the Kyle of Lochalsh, with stunning views and light glinting off the waters of the several lochs. Finally landing in Ullapool. We offer entry to the municipal museum, which is set in a picturesque village.

Gairloch Hotel, Gairloch ***

Located in the pretty harbour town of Gairloch with wonderful views across to Skye. Featuring 72 ensuite bedrooms with televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift which serves most of the rooms.

The King Robert Hotel, Stirling*** (overnight hotel)

The King Robert is notably located on the site of the historic Battle of Bannockburn.

All bedrooms are en-suite and have walk-in showers, televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, and Wi-Fi. The hotel does not have a lift, however many rooms are located on the ground floor.

Day 3

A short hop this morning with a local operator so your driver can have a rest day, to Inverewe Gardens. A garden like no other with amazing species that simply shouldn't grow there! Lose yourself in this lush setting before exploring Inverewe House, now an interactive museum. The remainder of the day is at leisure in the pretty harbour town of Gairloch

Day 4

Today is an opportunity to sample part of the North Coast 500 route. See the tiny sheep-inhabited Gruinard Island, with a grim past, to Little Loch Broom and fantastic views of the Loch and An Tellach, the highest mountain in the area. Heading on, passing the magnificent Corrieshalloch Gorge, known for its Victorian suspension bridge, and Falls of Measach before arriving in Ullapool. A village wrapped in stunning scenery, we include admission to the town museum. Take time to wander here before delving into the local shops.

Day 5

A full day, exploring Wester Ross further. Head along Loch Maree, framed by the Slioch and Beinn Eighe mountain ranges, to Achnashee in the east of the region. Here, join the train for a scenic trip to the Kyle of Lochalsh with spectacular views and light glinting off the waters of the many lochs. Rejoining the coach, spend time in the small village of Plockton. A picturesque Highland village that sits on a sheltered bay with stunning views overlooking Loch Carron.
