About the Destination

The Isles of Scilly are an outstandingly beautiful and unspoilt group of islands located around 28 miles off the Cornish coast.

Known for their mild climate, clear waters, sandy beaches and relaxed pace of life, the islands offer a very different experience from mainland holidays. St Mary’s is the largest island and provides a lovely base for exploring Hugh Town, nearby beaches and scenic coastal paths.

The islands do not offer the same facilities as the mainland, such as large supermarkets and banks, so guests should be prepared for a quieter, more remote island experience.

About the Experience

This holiday is designed to give you time to enjoy the natural beauty and gentle charm of the Isles of Scilly.

The ferry crossing from Penzance takes approximately three hours and is subject to tides and weather. Once on St Mary’s, luggage transfers are arranged between the ferry and hotel, although passengers should be aware that the walk from the harbour to the Bell Rock Hotel is approximately 10 minutes.

Guests will need a reasonable level of mobility to access the ferry and enjoy the islands fully, as there are gradients, uneven surfaces and rougher terrain in places.
