Barnsley indoor market

Barnsley indoor market opened in 2018 following an extensive refurbishment programme. It's open Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 4pm.

On the ground floor you'll find fresh produce stalls. These include Barkers Butchers, Keith's Quality Meats, Morley Meats, fishmongers Joseph Cliffe and Tom Hall, and the fantastic Deli Butcher. You’ll also find stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, bakers and florists. It's also home to some famous faces, including Pats for Pants, Sailor Sid’s and Devine Footwear.

Upstairs there's lots more stalls, including fashion, household textiles, wool, hairdressers and familiar faces such as Dantina Foods.

Barnsley outdoor market

Our outdoor market is open six days a week, from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

You'll find the market stalls throughout the town centre. A range of different stalls through the week adds a real mix to what you can find.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday markets

This is a traditional market where you’ll find everything you need for you and your home. Products on offer include fashion, stationery, cards, bags, footwear, jewellery, textiles, fresh flowers, home decor and much more.

MEET, EAT AND DRINK

If all that shopping has made you hungry, there are now more places to eat in the new market. Three existing market cafes are open in Market Kitchen, serving up English breakfasts and traditional cafe favourites, together with a wide range of new food outlets to tempt you. You’ll find Market Kitchen on the first floor of the new market hall, with seating for over 500 people. There’s a terrace offering outdoor seating and views across the new public square.
