On this new tour, discover England’s smallest city, the beautiful Mendip Hills, the spectacular Cheddar Gorge, and the Somerset Coast. Finally, we explore Wells, England’s smallest city, on market day, followed by a short journey to the spectacular setting of Cheddar Gorge, home to some breath-taking caves.

Located in the heart of Wells, opposite the Cathedral, parts of the hotel date back to at least 1422.  Over the years the hotel has been sympathetically refurbished and extended and offers modern amenities in a beautiful setting.  There are bars and restaurant, health suite and sauna, and the bedrooms have hairdryer, TV, tea and coffee, ironing facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi.  There is no lift, but a limited number of ground floor room are available on request.  Please note that due to the age of the building, the bedrooms vary in size.
