The finale of the Sound of Music sees the Von Trapps fleeing into the scenic surrounds of the Alps to the safety of Switzerland.  The reality is that they actually crossed through their back garden over the railway tracks and boarded a train to Italy.  Sometimes truth is better than fiction, so why not pick up where they left off, and take to Austria via the rails and lakes?
