Cheshire Highlights and the Peak District

Cheshire has so many places of interest, it is hard to know where to start!  A visit to the Salt Works Museum for an insight into the life of a salt miner, is followed by a ride on the Anderton Boat Lift. By contrast, after a tour of the Peak District, we visit Haddon Hall, one of the most romantic houses in Britain, and then a scenic drive gives us views of the reservoirs of the Upper Derwent Valley. Rounding off this all too brief visit to Cheshire, we have a guided visit to Port Sunlight Museum and Garden Village, created in 1888 by William Hesketh Lever for his Sunlight soap factory workers.
