Welsh Treasures and the Royal Mint

We visit Caerphilly Castle, Wales’ largest castle  famous for it’s Leaning Tower and Grand Hall and enjoy free time in the town before heading to the superbly restored Llancaiach Fawr Manor House where you’ll meet the costumed servants who are living and working in 1645! Go behind the scenes at the Royal Mint Visitor Centre, to follow the journey from “a blank to a bank” on a guded tour. Leaving here, we’ll have an escorted tour of Cardiff city centre and Cardiff Bay area. We head into the Brecon Beacons National Park to visit the Big Pit Mining Museum to learn about the region’s heritage and complete our day at the Penderyn Visitor Centre to learn about whisky making in Wales.
