The Peebles Hydro Hotel is located in the heart of the Tweed Valley on the Scottish Borders.With stunning views of the Tweed, the restaurant has one of the most picturesque settings in the Scottish Borders.  The hotel's lounge has recently been refurbished and now includes its own Gin Palace Bar and Sunroom, which overlooks the Tweed Valley and the famous Peebles Hydro.  The hotel also offers an indoor swimming pool, gym, and spa facilities.  All bedrooms have tea /coffee facilities, TV, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi.

Day 2

Traquair House & Border Towns

Today's journey begins with an exclusive entry to Traquair House, dating back to 1107, offering a unique blend of history as a refuge for Catholic priests and later a royal hunting lodge. Traquair stands as a captivating highlight, showcasing living history. The afternoon unfolds across the rich cultural heritage of the Scottish Borders, exploring riverside towns like Selkirk, Hawick, Jedburgh, and Kelso, each adorned with 13th-century abbey ruins. Inspired by Sir Walter Scott, we pause for a photo at Scott's Hilltop lookout, providing stunning views of the river and valley

Day 3

Rosslyn Chapel & Edinburgh

En route to Edinburgh, our itinerary includes entry to what can be considered the most captivating of all chapels. The 15th-century Rosslyn Chapel is truly distinctive, having endured the challenges of the Reformation. Renowned for its majestic stonework and a history dating back to the era of the Holy Grail, famously depicted in the Tom Hanks film "The Da Vinci Code," the chapel holds a unique allure. The journey then proceeds to Edinburgh, where you'll have free time to explore this fabulous city.

Day 4

Peebles & Thirlestane Castle

Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the Ancient and Royal Burgh of Peebles, a serene town nestled along the banks of the river Tweed, boasting boutique shops and charming eateries. In the afternoon, embark on a brief and picturesque drive to Thirlestane Castle. This splendid 16th-century fortress stands as one of Scotland's oldest and finest inhabited castles. Explore a collection of weapons dating back to 1745, witness the Grand Bedchamber where Bonnie Prince Charlie once stayed, and marvel at the impressive furnishings, artwork, and treasures within.
