Torquay and the English Riveria

South Devon beckons with a classic seaside resort - Torquay. We start by boarding a steam train which takes us along a delightful stretch of coastline to Kingswear, where we catch the ferry to Dartmouth. In the afternoon, we visit the Royal Naval College, Sir Walter Raleigh’s Boathouse, and Greenway Quay – all on a one-hour cruise! There will be some free time in the historic city of Plymouth, which is famous for Sir Francis Drake who headed out to sea to defeat the Spanish Armada. The return journey takes us through Dartmoor National Park to absorb some stunning scenery. We spend a day soaking up the atmosphere, the parks, the gardens and all that Torquay has to offer.
