Day 1

Your holiday starts with a pickup from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service which will bring you through to our coach. Once everyone is on board, we'll head to the market town of Richmond before we make our way to the hotel

Day 2

Our excursion today is to Bamburgh Castle, known as "The King of Castles". Standing high on a basalt outcrop, overlooking the North Sea, Bamburgh Castle is one of the most impressive looking castles in England. It is visible for many miles and from its battlements offers views of Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island, the Farne Islands and the Cheviot Hills. It was the Royal Seat of the Kings of Northumbria and holds a treasure trove collection of unique pieces which tell the story of Bamburgh's many reincarnations over the centuries, from Anglo Saxon Royal Palace to Victorian Inventor and industrialist Lord Armstrong's vision of a perfect castle

Day 3

Those who wish may enjoy a relaxing morning at the hotel or alternatively, join us for a trip to the lovely market town of Hexham. Dinner will be served early today before we leave the hotel at around 6.00pm to go to the show. Please be aware that it is an outdoor show so please dress appropriately as it will go ahead whatever the weather! The show will finish approximately 10.30pm to 11.00pm

Day 4

After a leisurely breakfast, we make our way to Cragside House and Gardens. The revolutionary home of Lord Armstrong, Victorian Inventor and landscape genius, was a wonder of its age. Built on a rocky crag high above Debdon Burn, Cragside is crammed with ingenious gadgets and was the first house in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity. Surrounding the house on all sides is one of the largest rock gardens in Europe. Across the iron bridge, in the formal garden is the Orchard House, which still produces fresh fruit.

Day 5

Leaving the hotel after breakfast, we'll make our way to Durham. We'll spend a few hours here before making our way to your drop off point where the Door to Door service vehicles will be waiting to take you home.
