Day 2
After a leisurely breakfast, we journey along the coast to the seaside resort of Llandudno where the day is free for you to explore at leisure. Take a stroll along the wide promenade taking in the sea air, ride the chair lift up to the Great Orme or perhaps enjoy some retail therapy in the main shopping street which runs parallel with the sea front.
Day 3
This morning we journey south to the market town of Ruthin where we visit Nantclwyd y Dre - the oldest dated timbered townhouse in Wales. The house has been beautifully restored and explores over 500 years of history through the eyes of the inhabitants of the house. Learn how the building expanded from a weavers house to a 17th century lawyer's townhouse to a Victorian school for Girls. Outside the Lord's Garden is a beautifully tranquil setting with backdrop views of the Clwydian Range and Ruthin Castle. After our visit there is free time to look around Ruthin and grab lunch.
Later we journey back north making a stop at St Asaph Cathedral. Built in the 13th century it is the smallest ancient cathedral in Great Britain. It is the home of the William Morgan Bible (the first version of the whole bible translated into Welsh making this a significant site within Welsh literature.
Day 4
Today we journey the short distance to Rhyl where we visit the SeaQuarium. Nine different zones feature aquatic creatures from around the world, including a seal cove where you have the chance to meet delightful harbour seals. After our visit, there is free time to have a look around the seaside town of Rhyl. We return to the hotel on the afternoon to relax and perhaps use the hotel's leisure facilities before dinner
