Day Two

Windermere Lake Cruise, Ambleside & Grasmere
This morning, we make our way via Newby Bridge to Bowness-on-Windermere, often considered the gateway to the Lake District. We have some free time to explore this pretty town perched on the shores of Windermere before we embark on a scenic 30-minute Lake Cruise to Ambleside. On arrival in Ambleside, we meet our coach to take us into its charming centre where we have time at leisure to have lunch, stroll the picturesque streets and see the iconic Bridge House, a tiny stone house perched above Stock Beck. Next, we travel to Grasmere where have time free to delve into this chocolate-box village. Be sure to visit The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop for some of its traditional gingerbread- the much-loved creation of a Victorian cook Sarah Nelson-and stroll the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden, which honours Wordsworth's famous poem 'The Daffodils'.

Day Three

Today we can choose where to spend the day to suit our itinerary, taking our pick from a wide variety of nearby destinations and attractions. For instance, Blackpool is a great location from which to visit the vibrant seaside resort of Southport with its stunning sandy beaches, gardens, parks and shops, or to head to Liverpool, home to sights such as Liverpool Cathedral, nostalgic Beatles' landmarks and the museums, galleries and shops of the Albert Dock complex.

Day Four

4 Tram Tour with Fish & Chips Supper
We spend this morning at leisure in Blackpool, with time to discover its sights and delights as we wish. Perhaps stroll the famous promenade or Central Pier for stunning views over the golden beaches and Irish Sea, soak up panoramic views from the top of the iconic Blackpool Tower, visit Madam Tussauds, browse the shops or simply relax in one of the many great restaurants, cafes or bars. This evening we enjoy a 75-minute tour on a Heritage Tram with award-winning Fish & Chips from a traditional local chippy. This is one of the most memorable ways to experience Blackpool as it combines the best sights, smells and tastes of the seaside town!
