Wonderful Wells, Longleat and the Somerset Coast

Day 1

Your holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service which will bring you through to our coach. We'll stop for a break at Stratford-upon-Avon where you'll find lots of choice for something to eat and drink before making our way to the hotel where we'll aim to arrive late afternoon.

Day 2

We have a day "at the seaside" with visits to Weston-Super-Mare and Clevedon. Weston, is the original, traditional British seaside resort, with the huge level promenade offering views across the beach and sea to Brean Down, Steep Holm, Flat Holm and Wales. Moving on to the picturesque town of Clevedon, you'll find the only Grade 1 listed pier in England, from where you can take in the scenery or indulge in the cafes, restaurants or independent shops.

Day 3

A free day for you to enjoy and explore the beautiful, mediaeval city of Wells. Wednesday is marker day and your hotel is ideally situated to wander around the historic market place. You may wish to visit the Cathedral, famed for its magnificent West Front, featuring over 300 statues and carvings, the inverted scissor arches of the nave, it has one of the most substantial collections of medieval stained glass in England and one of the oldest working mechanical clocks in England. The Wells, which gave the city its name, are in the grounds of the Bishops Palace which is still the residence of the Bishops of Bath and Wells are also only a short walk from the hotel.

Day 4

Our excursion today is to Longleat, nestled within 900 acres of Capability Brown landscaped grounds, is home to the Uk's original Safari Park, and is one of the best examples of Elizabethan architecture.

Day 5

Leaving the hotel after breakfast, we'll begin our journey home. We'll stop for a break at Royal Leamington Spa, where with a town centre of around a third of a square mile it means that all areas of the town centre are easily accessed on foot within a 10-minute walk. The Grade II Jephson Gardens are also delightful at any time of year to visit. We'll leave early afternoon to return you to your drop-off point where one of our Door to Door vehicles will be waiting to take you home.
