Cheddar Gorge is one of Britain’s most spectacular natural landmarks and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasting awe-inspiring cliffs and extraordinary subterranean stalactite show caves and an inexplicable handful of Soay sheep that were allegedly used as a stake in a game of poker.
Tyntesfield is a Victorian Gothic Revival house surrounded by formal gardens and parkland. The striking house is full of history, boasts a chapel with stunning stained-glass windows and has extensive outdoor areas to explore – the estate is a perfect day out.

What also sets Weston-super-Mare apart as a seaside resort is the fact that it was mostly at threat from an air attack in the second World War due to its inhospitable landing conditions on the coastline. The Fleet Air Arm Museum is Europe’s largest naval aviation collection of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft – the flying arm of the Royal Navy.
