A full day excursion includes a stop at Bakewell, home of the traditional pudding. We visit historic Chester, well known for its extensive Roman Walls, Cathedral and unique Rows which comprise of 700-year-old two-tiered covered shopping galleries.

Join us for an early Spring break taking in the beautiful scenery of the Peak District, the UK’s oldest National Park.  A full day excursion includes a stop at Bakewell, home of the traditional pudding.  We visit historic Chester, well known for its extensive Roman Walls, Cathedral and unique Rows which comprise of 700-year-old two-tiered covered shopping galleries. Enjoy a visit to magnificent Chatsworth House and the lovely spa town of Buxton.

 

Hollin House Hotel, Bollington***

Set in four acres of landscaped grounds, this 19th century Victorian House sits on the outskirts of Bollington Village, near Macclesfield.  This Tudor Gothic-style building offers cosy and luxurious hospitality, comfortable bedrooms with tea/coffee facilities and TV.  There is a restaurant serving the best of British cuisine. (Please note, walk-in showers are not available).

5 day/4 nights

Day 1

Your holiday starts with a pickup from home by one of the vehicles from our Door-to-Door service which will bring you through to meet our coach. Once everyone is on board, we'll make our way to Hollin House. We'll have a suitable stop en-route to the hotel, aiming to arrive mid-afternoon, giving you plenty of time to unpack and relax before dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast, we take a leisurely drive through the Peak District National Park. Our route takes us up to Glossop and then through Snake Pass and alongside Lady Bowers Reservoir to Bakewell where we stop for lunch (not included in the cost of your holiday) In the afternoon we make our way through Eyam, where in 1665, 260 villagers died from the bubonic plague, and on through Tideswell and Peak Forest back to the hotel. Weather permitting stops will be made for photographs.

Day 3

We spend the day in historic Chester, well known for its extensive Roman Walls, Cathedral and unique Rows which comprise of 700-year-old two-tiered covered shopping galleries.
You'll have plenty of time to explore before returning mid-afternoon to enjoy a cream tea on arrival at the hotel.

Day 4

You'll have plenty of time to explore before returning mid-afternoon to enjoy a cream tea on arrival at the hotel.

Day 5

Leaving the hotel after breakfast, we begin our journey home. We'll have a suitable stop en-route before continuing our journey back to your drop off point where one of the vehicles from our door-to-door service will be waiting to take you home.
