Join us on a very special 4 day New Years break. Hogmany in Scotland is celebrated like no other, with traditional Scottish entertainment, food and drinks, in a beautifully placed hotel on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park.
We stay for three nights here at our base to explore this beautiful region at a very special time of year, including an evening Northern Light hunt. Scotland’s latitude mirrors Stavanger in Norway and Nunivak Island in Alaska, making it the UK’s best place to see these awe-inspiring Mirrie Dancers.
We also take a scenic tour of the Cairngorms National park with some free to time to take a hike or explore the snowy landscapes.
Craiglynne Hotel, Grantown on Spey
Full of traditional Scottish charm, the interior is comfortable and homely and there are lounge areas and restaurant. Due to the age of the building, the bedrooms do vary in size (including the quaint attic rooms) but do not compromise on comfort or décor.

Day 1
From your local joining point we travel north to our hotel on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park
Day 2
We take a scenic journey through the Cairngorms today followed by New Years eve celebrations at the hotel
Day 3
New Years day - morning at leisure. This evening we head out for a Northern Lights hunt and Dark Skies experience
Day 4
After breakfast we depart from the hotel and return to our local joining points
