DAy 1
The holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service and this will bring you through to our coach. Once on board there will be no further pick-ups as we head north to Scotland. A lunch stop in Penrith is planned before continuing to the hotel in Irvine arriving in plenty of time to check in and unpack before dinner.
Day 2
Robert Burns Country & Ayrshire Coast - Free time at the pretty village of Alloway, home of Scotland's famous poet Rabbie Burns, take a stroll at Brig O'Doon or visit the Heritage Centre. Afterwards the drive continues south along the coast with views of Culzean Castle and Ailsa Craig or Paddy's Milestone. Free time in the world-famous golf resort of Turnberry, passing the infamous Trump Turnberry Hotel. After lunch, we turn north with free time in Ayr, before returning to your hotel for dinner.
Day 3
Isle of Arran & Brodick Castle - Board the ferry with your coach at Ardrossan for the 40-minute sea crossing to the Isle of Arran, known as "Scotland in Miniature". Entry includes into the Baronial styled Brodick Castle, packed full of treasures & artefacts. Its impressive gardens offer stunning views across the Firth of Clyde. Around lunchtime, free time in Brodick, followed by a coastal drive round this picturesque island to Blackwaterfoot, before heading across the mountainous island and back to Brodick for the late afternoon ferry.
Day 4
Loch Lomond & Firth of Clyde - Coastal drive northwards, stopping at the seaside resort of Largs, famous for its 1920's café Nardini's with it fabulous coffee and ice creams. Onwards, passing Greenock where many famous ships were built including the QE2. Over the Erskine Bridge and to Balloch on the southern shoreline of Loch Lomond. Time free at the retail outlet at Lomond Shores with its many shops and eateries. Afterwards, return through the Campsies, Milngavie, and the Clyde Tunnel passing Glasgow before heading back into Ayrshire. Tonight, is a farewell night with a Scottish themed dinner with entertainment.
Day 5
Sadly, it's time to return home today and we leave the hotel straight after breakfast and head for Yorkshire with a break in Carlisle around lunchtime and then on to Beverley arriving back early in the evening. From here, one of our Door to Door vehicles will return you home.
