The Lake District is a magical place that continues to impress visitors with its rolling hills and shimmering lakes. On this fantastic break we explore the regions highlights with visits to Bowness-on Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick, along with Kendal. Windermere has been called the ‘Gateway to the Lakes', with mountains, moors, lakes and tarns it is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the splendour of the English countryside, right in the heart of the Lake District.
The Windermere Hotel, Windermere
The grand English heritage-listed Windermere Hotel dates back to 1847 and is perfectly located on the edge of the village, overlooking the lake.

Day 1
After collecting you from your pickup point, we will head to Haworth to give you time at leisure to explore this wonderful market town. After ample time here, we will head to the hotel in for the evening meal.
Day 2
Today, we will head over the Red Screes Mountain, passing the old slate mines, with a stop to look around the picturesque town of Glenridding in Patterdale before heading down the mountain and pass the banks of Ullswater to Keswick for time at leisure in this iconic Lake District town.
Day 3
Today, we will make our way to Kendal for some time to look around this beautiful town, after which we will make our way to Ambleside to enjoy the stunning surrounds of this market town, the views of which inspired the likes of Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter.
Day 4
Today you will have the day to explore round Bowness-on-Windermere - why not take a boat trip on the lake or visit the Beatrix Potter museum?
Day 5
After breakfast, we will make our way over to Skipton to enjoy some time in this lovely Yorkshire market town before heading back to your drop-off points.
